Jökulsarlón and Fjallárslón are glacier lagoon at the south end of the glacier of Vatnajökull between the Skaftafell preservation area in Vatnajökull National Park and Höfn. Jokuslarlon Glacier Lagoon is next to the Icelandic Ring Road. The lake is filled with icebergs, which are calving off the Breidamerkurjokull Glacier. At Jökulsárlón and Fjallárslón you have the option of an amphibian boat tour or a more exciting zodiac boat tour. We recommend pre-booking to guarantee availability upon arrival. The lagoon has a vast amount of floating ice bergs that have broken off Vatnajökull, Europe’s biggest glacier, and float towards the ocean. Along the way, we will stop at some of the attractions along the South Coast.

Carbon Dioxide Footprint:

Oak Travel Service is proud to support responsible travel in Iceland. With The Kolviður Fund we neutralize the carbon dioxide footprint of all our tours and service without no extra costs for our customers. The carbon neutralization is done by planting trees in collaboration with The Kolviður Fund, founded by the Icelandic Forestry Association.  All our tours and service are calculated by the distance travelled in accordance to the offset agreement to find out number off trees we plant to offset the carbon dioxide (CO2) footprint.
